Business Parking Passes 2026

Instructions for Obtaining a Business Parking Pass for the annual Surrey Khalsa Day Vaisakhi Parade on Saturday, April 18, 2026

If your business would like to secure parking passes for employees working the day of the Khalsa Day Parade on Saturday, April 18, 2026, please follow the instructions below to request your passes. The deadline to submit a pass will be April 13, 2026. Pass requests submitted after this date will NOT be accepted.

2026 Parking passes will allow pass holders access onto the parade route until 7:00 am on April 18, 2026

NO vehicles will be allowed onto the parade route after 7:00 am or at anytime during the event.

After 7:00 am, pass holders will be allowed into the soft closure zone for drop off and pick up purposes.

Any vehicle parked within the parade route will NOT be allowed to exit the parade route until after the event concludes and the roads have been reopened.

Step 1:

Send an email to parkingpasses@surreypolice.ca with the following information:

  1. Business Name
  1. Business Location
  2. How Many Parking Passes You Are Requesting
  3. Names of Each Employee Receiving a Pass (Employees must present ID on the day of the event for verification)
  4. Personnel Picking Up the Passes (Please include their name, contact number, and email)
  5. Attach a Business Card or Other Official Business Documents

Step 2: Confirmation and Pickup Information

Once your email has been received, we will verify your business and send you your pickup location and time via email or phone call. Please ensure the information for the personnel picking up the passes is correct.

Step 3: Pick up the Passes

Parking passes will be given out to the assigned person from the business. It’s the businesses responsibility to ensure all the passes are handed out to the employees listed on the passes.

The deadline to pick up passes will be Thursday, April 16.

Rules to Obtain Parking Passes

  1. Verification of Business Identity
  • Businesses must provide proof of their legitimacy, by submitting a copy of their business card or other official documentation.
  1. Limit on the Number of Passes
  • Businesses must request parking passes based on their actual needs and avoid requesting excessive passes beyond what is necessary for employees working the day of the event. Pass requests will be audited and reviewed.
  1. Employee Identification
  • Employees picking up parking passes must provide valid photo ID for verification.
  • The name on the official and embossed parking pass must match the name on driver’s licence.
  1. Pickup Time and Location
  • Businesses must adhere to the designated time and location for picking up their parking passes. Late pickups may not be accommodated.
  • Parking passes must be collected by the individual listed in the initial request.
  1. Use of Parking Passes
  • Parking passes are strictly for use on the day of the Khalsa Day Parade and cannot be transferred to other dates or events.
  • The passes are intended for business-related use only and are not to be resold or distributed to individuals not associated with the business.
  1. Vehicle Requirements
  •  Businesses are responsible for ensuring that the vehicle is parked properly and within the designated parking zones to avoid any penalties or towing.
  • The parking pass must be displayed in the vehicle’s dashboard to avoid towing.
  1. Adherence to Event and Local Traffic Regulations
  • Businesses must ensure their employees are aware of and comply with local traffic laws, parking regulations, and any specific event rules related to access, parking, and safety.
  • Any illegal parking or violations of event regulations may result in the revocation of parking passes.
  1. No Modifications to Parking Passes
  • Parking passes are to be used as issued. Alterations or duplications of parking passes are strictly prohibited and will result in revocation of access.
